Role: The Computational Geoscientist will play a crucial role in integrating geological, physical, and machine learning data to enhance geothermal exploration technology. Outcomes: The successful candidate will develop patentable workflows and tools to increase the discovery and de-risking of geothermal resources for commercial power plants by 2030. Competencies: Proficiency in computer programming, experience in geoscientific data assimilation/inversion, reservoir optimization, uncertainty quantification, machine learning, and earth sciences are desired. Effective communication skills are essential for collaborating with various teams. Qualifications: Requires a Master’s degree with 3+ years or a Ph.D. with 1+ year of experience in quantitative earth sciences. Location, Salary, and Benefits: The position is based in Salt Lake City with an option for remote work in exceptional cases.
