Electrical Engineer

Thea Energy, located in Kearny Point, NJ, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team focused on developing core planar coil stellarator fusion technologies. The ideal candidate will design, construct, and operate power supplies and control systems for high-temperature superconducting magnet arrays, as well as specify, design, and develop bespoke electronic systems for industrial environments. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing procurement contracts, adhering to industry standards, and ensuring project milestones are met. The candidate should have a BS, MS, or PhD in electrical engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and technical proficiency across various areas of electrical engineering such as power conversion, instrumentation, and control. Experience with PCB design software, CAD software, analog electronics, power electronics components, simulation software, and embedded control systems is beneficial. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently and within a team are essential.
